Another hybrid at the shipyard of Admiral Group
In November Nakhimov Company signed a contract for construction of another hybrid-powered motor yacht at Admiral shipyard. This 40-meter Impero series full aluminium yacht will be built at the new shipyard in Carrara. The yacht will be equipped with a revolutionary Siemens hybrid device enabling the yacht to cruise at 10 knots an hour consuming only 60 litres of fuel per hour and having double transatlantic sea-endurance. Moreover, the yacht will able to reach a top speed of 20 knots which is perfect for sailing in the Mediterranean Sea. This is the only offer in the market having such characteristics of speed and endurance. In line with the owner's request for an efficient and silent vessel, the yacht will be equipped with modern variable speed generators and CMC Stabilis Electra up-to-date electric fin stabilizers. The yacht will be painted Awlgrip metallic by high-class Dutch company Klaver that paints Feadship, Amels, Royal Huisman, Vitters yachts.
The exterior was designed by the famous Luca Dini, while arrangement and decks were planned by Dobroserdov Design. There yacht will have five guest cabins, large salon with panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows and spacious sun deck. The interior will be designed in a modern version of art déco style. The delivery of the yacht to its customer is scheduled for December 2015.
Nakhimov will continue construction management, quality inspection and observance of dates; and after the delivery, Nakhimov will charter the yacht. This is the 4th contract signed by Nakhimov at Admiral shipyard in 2013. The company has already 45, 52 and 55 meter yachts under construction and owns a fully functional design office at the shipyard.
