NAKHIMOV will build the first hybrid super-yacht exceeding 50 m long
In May 2013, Nakhimov placed an order for the construction of a 55-meter semi-displacement-type ship in the shipyards of Admiral Technomar Group in Massa, Italy. The yacht was designed by Sergei Dobrososedov and Dutch marine architect office Vripack; it will be entirely built from aluminium and will have a revolutionary hybrid power unit. The main advantage of the Admiral 52 is its performance and operational efficiency at various speeds with minimum noise and vibration, and fuel consumption is reduced by 30%. A large yacht with a tonnage of almost 700 gross tons will consume 250 litres per hour running at 14 knots and only 99 litres running at 10 knots when using electric motors during long passages or during breakfast cruising. The maximum speed of the yacht will be 17 knots, and its range will exceed 6,000 miles. The dynamic positioning function is designed for lay-up at any depth.
The yacht has the highest class equipment based on the latest technologies in navigation, safety, and entertainment systems. 2 master cabins (one of them is on the upper deck with a panoramic view) and 4 guest cabins can accomodate 12 guests. A large SPA zone with a sauna, a hamam and a massage room exiting to the sidelong swimming platform is located aft-most. A sundeck is equipped with a gym and an open cinema. All external decks are equipped with heating and air conditioning. A powerful carbonic tender limousine for 12 guests accelerating up to 40 knots is installed on the bows for transportation and daily journeys. The first hull of the Admiral 55 will be commissioned to its owner in February 2016, the second hull will be available by May 2016. Nakhimov is the exclusive representative of Admiral Technomar shipyards in Russia.
